Cable Operators Get into WiMAX with Sprint & Clearwire

Comcast  and Time Warner Cable Inc. are beived to be in discussions to fund a new wireless Internet WiMAX venture thatwith Sprint. and Clearwire, reported The Wall Street Journal on Tuesday.

Comcast would contribute up to $1 billion, while Time Warner Cable would add another $,500 million, the Journal reported.
