Asus to Ace Android Phone Market?

Asus is planning to introduce Android phones next year.

According to Digitimes Asustek has 2,200 developers working on Windows Mobile and Android phones with 3G Qualcomm chipsets and is estimating 12-13 million units deployed next year.

They will test the Android phone in local markets before introducing it into larger markets.

Asus is known for getting things out such as their notebook computers cheaply and gaining popularity with open source operating systems.
