Microsoft to Provide Search and OS for Verizon Totalling $1Billion

It looks like Microsoft is working a deal with Verizon to be their favored primary search provider with a share revenue with Verizon from ads shown in mobile web searches, granting payments to Verizon in approximately $550 million to $650 million over five years, double that of what Google offerred.

They are are working on another deal to place Windows Mobile  on Verizon handset making the total deal worth about a billion bucks.
