Huawei Android Phones May Be Sold in Austraila as Soon as Q3 2009

Huawei Technologies' Android-based phones will be available to be sold in Austrailia by the third quarter of 2009

Huawei joined he Android open handset alliance earlier this week with plans to launch smartphones running the Google's mobile operating system next year.

"Huawei can confirm that their first Android smartphone is scheduled to launch in the third quarter of 2009. Huawei's smartphones can be ordered and developed for Australian operators based on any such requests," a Huawei spokesperson told CNET Austrailia.
