RIM Buys Chalk Media
Research In Motion maker of the BlackBerry Storm has acquired Chalk Media Corp. Chalk Media is a member of the BlackBerry ISV Alliance Program. Chalk developed Mobile Chalkboard, hat enables the creation and deployment of "Pushcasts" to BlackBerry smartphones.
The software is an add-in to familiar software programs such as PowerPoint and can incude text, graphics, video, an audio that is pushed to BlackBerry users of the enterprise platform throught a corporation or business. It has been popular with municipalities and other large compaines.
Mobile Chalkboard has won many awards.
Chalk expects to send an information circular and other materials
relating to the transaction to shareholders later this month. A copy
of the Arrangement Agreement and the meeting materials will be
available on www.sedar.com.
