There have been reports in Europe that say the silver Sony Xperia X1 has cracks by the stylus holder. An XDA Developer's forum member found twenty-four other European owners who had the same crack. The American Sony Xperia X19(a), however, will be very hard to find with cracks in the United States. It has been recalled.This is not the first report of problems with the Sony Xperia X1. In Howard Forums back on November 29 this was posted.
"I spoke to Sony Mobile Technical Support. The girl said they only thing she has heard is some phones had a crack near the stylus area and that could have been a reason for the partial recall."

"Well, I think I'm going to return mine. Too many issues and each time it crashes or has one of its fits or issues I just keeping thinking of the price tag. Aside from the fact that it crashes most (It crashed the first day I got it when I switched a Panel and I had installed nothing.) when switching Panels, the Panels themselves are bad. I have found now after many (Why is the reset button under the battery cover?) resets, that if I wait as long ten minutes it will sometimes come back but that is not workable."
The user also noticed problems with the charger (sometime it loses charge instead of charges." The car charger is extra odd in that the Xperia will start to charge did not let him him turn off the screen or go into standby. It's difficult to get to the reset button. The other reviews on the site were more favorable.
