App Stores Coming from Samsung, Nokia and Microsoft at Mobile World Congress
Nokia will unveil its download store at the Mobile World
Congress trade show in Barcelona next week, two industry sources
told Reuters. Nokia said in December it would launch its own download store
"soon." Nokia will merge its software download store
with the free media sharing site Mosh and widget service WidSets.
Also at Mobile World Congress, Samsung will also launch its version of an online store, which was announced last week.
Citing sources familiar with Microsoft, The Wall Street Journal reported an app store coming for smartpones that run Microsoft's Windows Mobile operating system which will also be unveiled at Mobile World Congress.
The BlackBerry Application StoreFront is expected in March.
