BlackBerry News: Next Models Not So CrackBerry? Reduces Sleep & Manners?

BlackBerry-Tour-9630.jpgAs the smartphone wars heat up analysts are poo-pooing the next generations of BlackBerry, while dates are leaking as to when the new models will be released.

GC Research analyst Tero Kuittinen is concerned that RIM is not make major changes to its BlackBerry products which are more incremental than innovative, and may backfire during the Christmas buying season. He doesn't flip over the BlackBerry flip phones either, because the trend is for larger screen phones and clam shell phone are going out of style.

Kuittinen doesn't even give credit for the BlackBerry Storm II either by stating, "One major big-display phone launch, in our opinion, may not fully
offset the slight malaise afflicting the rest of the Blackberry range
in the autumn."

The BlackBerry Tour 9630 is due from Sprint on July 20, reports several sources with same price $199 price tag as Verizon. Boy Genius reported that the BlackBerry Tour 9630 will be coming from Verizon on July 12. Gizmod reported the new BlackBerry Curve 8530 Aries is delayed and will not be available until February 2010.

In a letter to the New York Times, Paul Bernard  wrote,"The practice of using a BlackBerry or other electronic device in
business meetings is part of a larger issue -- the loss of politeness
and manners in a 24/7 business environment."

Using a BlackBerry does not give you the right to not be polite and mind your manners and neither does eating Frankenberry cereal either, even with a Twinkie sugar rush defense.

Finally, BlackBerry light may cause insomnia. Research at the Edinburgh Sleep Center found that light from a laptop
or Blackberry is concentrated enough to signal your brain to stop
production of melatonin, the hormone known to aid sleep
disturbances. No matter how you put it, a device that can reduce manners and sleep that is as sweet as Frankenberry is very powerful.

Flycast2 is now available for BlackBerry (Bold & Storm etc.)
