iPhone OS Update Sings MMS Tunes for Some iPhone Owners, Offical Debut Still 9/25

iphone-mms.jpgApple has gotten the message about AT&T iPhone owners wanting their MMS now.  Starting Saturday, iPhone owners began getting MMS functionality.  MMS appears to be appearing after updating to the iPhone 3.1 operating system. There were various blog reports of MMS on iPhones all around the United States.

CNET contacted AT&T's Mark Siegel,  who told them that "[AT&T] cannot confirm early activations of MMS on the iPhone" and that "[AT&T] is still on target for the September 25th activation of MMS for all iPhone users. The activation will occur via software update on that date when users sync their iPhone in iTunes."
