TouchScreen WinMo 6.5 HTC Imagio with TV @ Verizon October 6

Verizon and HTC have teamed up for the HTC Imagio, a multimedia 3G world smartphone that goes on sale online on October 6. The HTC Imagio is Verizon Wireless' is the first smartphone to support V CAST Mobile TV, the HTC Imagio brings news, sports and entertainment from popular broadcast channels to life on its 3.6" color display. The HTC Imagio's mobile productivity is made possible by Windows Mobile 6.5.

They say that is a Windows phone that is engineered to keep customers connected to both entertainment and work. Features include Wi-Fi, 3.5 mm jack, long-life battery, syncable/viewable Microsoft Office capabilities and a 5 megapixel camera. It appears to be a lot like the well- reviewed HTC Touch Pro2 that is currently out-of-stock, the major differnce however is the that the HTC Touch Pro2 has a full QWERTY keyboard.

The HTC Imagio will be available online at Verizon online beginning Oct. 6 and in Verizon Wireless Communications Stores beginning Oct. 20 for $199.99 after a $100 mail-in rebate with a new two-year customer agreement.
