Verizon has removed some high-end features phones from its $350 Early Termination Fee from LG, Motorola and Samsung.The following phones appear to have been removed from the high ETF list:
- LG EnV Touch
- LG Versa
- LG Voyager
- Casio Exilim
- Motorola Krave
- Samsung Rogue and
- Samsung Glyde
Verizon upped the ETF to $350 supposedly because some people were
participating in the buy one get one free BlackBerry deals and then
selling the BlackBerry smartphone making a nice profit when they paid
the the $175 Early Termination fee.
Some believe the Early Termination Fee price cut is due to FCC pressure. While others believe that since Verizon changed its plans and require some kind of data with these phones, they could afford to lower the fee.. It could also have effected the new Verizon Valentine Promotion in which you buy an LG enV Touch and you can get a LG enV 3 for free but you are required to buy the $9.99 data pack.
