Samsung Galaxy S Hits 1 Million Mark - Epic 4G Sales 1st Day @ Sprint

Samsung has been in the news because of their Samsung Galaxy S phones. The numbers of the Galaxy S series of smartphones shipped are out of this world.  Sprint is also touting their Samsung Galaxy success in their 4G galaxy.

The Samsung Epic 4G, one of the Samsung Galaxy S smartphones, is now also one of
Sprint's best-selling devices for first-day sales, for Tuesday. The Samsung Epic 4G received excellent reviews and is the only Samsung Galaxy S smartphone to have full slide-out QWERTY keyboard. The HTC EVO 4G is believed to be Sprint's best-seller so far.

Samsung Electronics expects to sell up to 25 million smartphones by the
close of 2010, a huge increase to the company's earlier estimate.  Samsung reported earlier this week, that that they had shipped more than 1 million of the Samsung Galaxy S smartphones in the United States.
"We are prioritizing our Android platform.
Android is very open and flexible, and there is a consumer demand for
it," YH Lee, Samsung Mobile's head of marketing, said this week.

Samsung also expects to sell 1 million units of Galaxy Tab Android
Tablets this year. The Galaxy Tab has a 7 inch touchscreen and runs
Android 2.2 on a Cortex A8 1 GHz processor. Features include Adobe Flash
Player 10.1, GSM/3G HSPA connectivity,
802.11n Wi-Fi, 3 megapixel camera, 1.3 mp front-facing camera, and
Bluetooth 3.0. The Galaxy Tab has the new Media Hub for buying
videos/movies and the Reading Hub for books.

The Galaxy S is currently available as the Samsung Captivate (read review) at AT&T, the Samsung Epic 4G (read review) at Sprint and the Samsung Vibrant (read review) at T-Mobile. The well-reviewed Samsung Fascinate is
the Samsung Galaxy S, slated to arrive at Verizon as soon as next
