AT&T is aggressively marketing and giving away free offers to keep its iPhone users. The Verizon iPhone came out yesterday with some reviewers saying that the Verizon iPhone has better call reception. AT&T iPhone owners may not care about reception and dropped calls if they get 1,000 free minutes and a cheaper iPhone.
According to web reports, AT&T is sending text messages to iPhone owners offering them 1,000 free rollover minutes when they answer text messages.
Some smart iPhone smartphone owners who texted the word "Yes" to 11113020
got a confirmation message that says, "Thank you for accepting our free
1,000 bonus Rollover offer. Please allow up to 4 weeks for processing.
The
first-day lines for Verizon iPhone 4 were not as long as AT&T iPhone lines in the past. These free minutes may keep some AT&T
iPhone owners from switching.

I don't think many AT&T users would be moving to Verizon soon. We would have to thank Apple for all this. There wouldn't have been such competitive prices and deals if they haven't launched iPhone 4 in Verizon. Regards, Allie @ iPhone Development
