Cheap HP TouchPads Sold-Out Again for Devs - Still Available: HP Computer Deal

TouchPad4devsOnce again the cheap TouchPad fire sale frenzy continues.  For a very brief time, webOS developers could nab a 32GB HP TouchPad for $149.99 with a special coupon. There are still HP TouchPad deals when you buy an HP or Compaq computer.

Officially, HP announced that they had sold all their inventory and there would be no more direct HP sales.  Over the weekend, the webOS developer site began offering special coupons to developers for up to two TouchPads.

Today, when we checked, we saw this notice:

"We would like to thank you for your interest in the TouchPad Developer Device Purchase Program. We currently have more requests for coupons than we have devices and will not be accepting any further requests.

If you have already submitted a request for a coupon, we are currently processing requests. Remember, coupons issued are only good through November 27, 2011, and while supplies last. We thank you for your patience and look forward to seeing your applications in the webOS App Catalog! "

Friday, Best Buy stores began offering the 32GB TouchPad for $149.99 with the purchase of an HP or Compaq computer, when we called our local store there will still HP Touchpads in stock.   Walmart.com has similar offer when you buy an HP laptop computer and you can get shipping for 97 cents.

The HP TouchPad sold-out and flew off the shelves when it was reduced to $99 for 16 GB and $149 for 32 GB.  A second run was sold-out to employees who spent the whole day ordering HP TouchPads with some complaining about the loss of work time.

HP has officially announced that they have no more TouchPads in stock  while some retail stores may have some available.  HP announced a new tablet the HP Slate 2 running Windows 7.
