The Skinny on Samsung Galaxy S III Debut

Samsung Galaxy S IIIIt seems like only Sunday when the Samsung Galaxy Note danced in a Super Bowl ad.  Now the tech world's keys are focused on the Samsung Galaxy S III and the who, what, when and where of its debut.

First rumor mongers swore that because the Samsung Galaxy S II was released at Mobile World Congress last year, the third heir of the Samsung Galaxy name would be announced at Mobile World Congress, this year.

There is e a PR event in France on March 22 which lead many to speculate that the Samsung Galaxy S III would debut in France.  The fact that Samsung delayed the debut of the Samsung Galaxy Nexus at CTIA last fall and then announced a few weeks later showed a similar patter.

But, alas, the March 22 event in France will instead be a demonstration circus of existing Samsung smartphones and tablets, confirmed Samsung.  Samsung informed news outlets " "the successor to the Galaxy S II smartphone will be unveiled at a separate Samsung-hosted event in the first half of the year, closer to commercial availability of the product".

Meanwhile a Korean media company suggested that the Samsung Galaxy S II will use printed circuit boards that are thinner to make a 7mm thin smarpthone.

Previously, Samsung reported that the Samsung Galaxy S III would debut in the first half of 2012.

Leaks suggest some exceptional new specs such as super slim, Super AMOLED, 8MP-12MP camera with HD recording , LTE and HDMI output.  It may be thinner than the Droid RAZR. The touchscreen may be as large as 4.6".

Samsung in 2011 was the top smarpthone maker, selling one million smartphones more than iPhones.  We can expect many more innovations this year.  The Samsung Galaxy S II was the named the top best smartphone of 2011 by numerous reviewers.

The Samsung Galaxy S III is different from the  Samsung Galaxy S II Plus  with possibly Android 2.3, 800x400 resolutions touchscreen and  1.5GHz dual-core processor.

  1. That looks very light. Im about to buy one of these. But what Im really interested is about its camera quality. No smartphone can ever attain the quality of a real digital camera.

    • You see a mobile phones camera is verg small . and trying to enlarge its pixel capacity makes it alittle bit ieffficient . but go for it ( galaxy s2) its the best phone you'd ever buy !
but gs3 will be a shocker if it will be 7 mm thick .as they say it will slice an apple into two ! lol
