Motorola Photon Q, 4 LTE, World & QWERTY 4 Sprint Release Date

Motorola Photon QSprint announced  the Motorola Photon Q, its first QWERTY keyboard it 4G LTE Android smartphone with world phone capabilities.  Pricing and a release date will be coming soon.

Features of the Motorola Photon Q include a 4.3" ColorBoost touchscreen, 1.5 GHz dual-core process, 8MP camera, front-facing camera, mirror mode when connected with HDMI cable, NFC for Android Beam, 1GB RAM, microSD slot and 1785mAh battery.

The screen has  scratch-resistant glass and splash-guard coating that resists everyday scratches and spills. It will come with the SMARTACTIONS app that helps extend battery life and intelligently automates routine, everyday tasks.

The QWERTY keypad has laser-cut keys outlined in LED light and a dedicated number row for maximum typing efficiency and accuracy.   The Motorola Photon Q is has security, producitivity and connectiviy features such as Government-grade encryption protects your email, contacts and calendar, while the VPN keeps you securely plugged into the office when you’re away.

Previously Motorola smart phones were dockable with a keyboard such as those developerd for the Motorola Photon, it is not clear, yet what accessories will be available for the HD version of the Motorola Photon.

 Sprint will bring 4G LTE to the following cities before Labor Day:

  • Baltimore, Maryland.
  • Gainesville, Georgia.
  • Manhattan/Junction City, Kansas.
  • Sherman-Denison, Texas.

  1. The lapdocks are too expensive, you might as well buy an Asus Transformer or notebook computer instead.

  2. Motorola has been faster at putting out updates. I hope this comes with Jelly Bean and not ICS. Come on Moto, you're owned by Google now.
