Samsung Galaxy S3 (III) Review of Colors, Olympic Cases, Diamond/24K, iPhone and Commentary

Samsung Galaxy S3 CasesOne of the readers of our Samsung Galaxy S III Review of Reviews noted that she would have liked a red Samsung Galaxy S III on the Verizon Wireless network. Unfortunately, the garnet red-colored Samsung Galaxy S III is only available from AT&T and is part of its Olympics promotions.

In the UK, there will be a special Olympic edition of the Samsung Galaxy S III  available from Carphone Warehouse that can use either a Union Jack or Team GB back panel. The idea is that Brits can cheer their team by waving their  Samsung Galaxy S3's in the air.  This patriotic incarnation will not be available until August 1.

The red  Samsung Galaxy S III just went on sale from AT&T . In the fall of last year, HTC made the HTC Rhyme in plum. For a while you could get the Droid RAZR in purple.  There are still Droid RAZRs available in red, white and blue. In many cases the first models of smartphones come in black or titanium and then have white or other colors follow later.

For a while, text messaging phones came in a neon green, especially from AT&T.  Personally, I would buy a smartphone based on its color because I can buy a case for $10 or $20 that makes it look different.

Today, I received the following email from a friend

"I got a new work iPhone 4s. what iPhone 4s case would you recommend?

I'm looking for something that has a case (shell) and belt holster combo; however, if there is something that is better out there please let me know."

There are loads of iPhone cases, some offer solar charging, one turns it into a stun gun(Yellow Jacket), Otterbox's Armor cases protect from drops/water,  Aqua Tek  S water protects along with solar charging and the Holga iPhone  case has a vintage rotating dial. With the high rate of iPhone theft, we would like one with an alarm and pepper spray.

What colors should cell/smartphones come in and what is your favorite case for iPhone or any Samsung product, especially th the Samsung Galaxy S III?

We searched for Samsung Galaxy S III caseson Amazon to find 35,835 results the most interesting was a flip case. Alterative colors were pink with white polka dots, zebra, a set of four colors, some with kickstand, gloden bling, metallic, glossy argyle, peacock, cyan wallet folio, Android green, leopard. The most expensive is the Luxmo Elegant  Diamond Back Cover (Black, Red, Pink or with White) Additional Silicone Skin for Samsung Galaxy S III / S3 Android Smartphone (Fits all carriers) + Screen Protector + SumacLife  Wisdom Courage Wristband for $1199.00.

A friend with golden brown hair requested a Bluetooth headset in Tortoise shell color like a hair comb.

  1. Gilbert,

You forgot to mention your crazy publisher on vacation loved her hot pink hibiscus computer until she spilled water on it and it died. I paid $300 more because it came in hot pink.

If doesn't come in hot pink, I think I would like Shaker lace or Victorian floral. The next choice of color is what we call WiMo News berry the color of this website.

Besides that you are doing a great job.

  2. Since I wear plastic horn-rim geeky eyeglasses, I think I'd like to see a faux tortoise colored case for the SG S3 or iPhone 4S.

For Ford fanatics, Mustang racing red with clear coat.

  3. I I think cell phone should come in flavors like Baskin-Robbins. I vote for chocolate peanut butter black bottom or
cotton candy, or luar cheesecake. You could also go for orange sherbert. YUMMMMMMM

  4. You got it all wrong for us Cowboys we need Levi Jeans with sbrown stitches! Save a horse ride a Cowboy.

  5. How about for Metrosexuals natural male make-up colors so polished nails look more natural.

No wait a case of organic flax seed, that you can eat if you get hungry or irregular. Put probiotics and peanut butter in it for fiber and protien

  6. I got it for more manly men Testosterone scented hairy chest. I'm tring to go by the rules here, is that PG enough?

  7. Solar powered statelite Wi-Fi hotspot case that hacks into the neaest secure Wi-Fi network.

  8. It looks like you got every kind of material covered, except for leather and cryptonite.

I think the most important thing about a case is that it protects the smartphone. They should make a case that comes with insurance and if the smart phone breaks your covered. So far I haven't seen any company do that.

  9. I think the Samsung Galaxy S III should come with a a special Olympic case with the iconic five

  10. I don't care what color her phone is as long as it works over the telephone. I was talking to my friend on her cell phone and I could barely hear her it was all static. Yes we like to meet smart phone functions of the most important thing is that voice quality is good.

  11. The current smartphone theft rate is so high already I really don't recommend it getting a solid gold case. I had gold jewelry stolen off my neck in a 99 cent store. Only Olympic athletes should go for the gold.

  12. You've got to see the abosulutely adorable Olympic version on sale in Tawiain. It's got the royal guard hat and a little royal guard.

  13. The iCloud ad is deceptive. iCloud is great in between iOS devices,
but it surely is often a lie to convey "Now the things that you do on your telephone are everywhere you go you need them automatically".
