Aus Breaks Nexus 7 & Kindle $150 Barrier for 7" Tablet $129 & $149

Asus announced two new budget priced tablets at Computex that have more features than the Nexus 7 or Kindle Fire HD at lower prices.

The news release states "The ASUS MeMO Pad HD 7 is an incredible value 7-inch tablet with an MSRP of US$129 for 8GB capacity and US$149 for 16GB." Unfortunately the $129 model will be sold in emerging countries, only.Asus MeMo 7hd

MeMO Pad HD 7 weighs t 302g and has a quad-core processor, plus a 10-point multi-touch 1280 x 800 IPS display with 170-degree wide viewing angles. MeMO Pad HD 7 also features ASUS SonicMaster audio technology, and a front 1.2-megapixel camera and optional 5-megapixel rear-facing camera. It’s available in dark blue, white, pink and green colors.

The MeMO HD 7 comes with a protective TransCover with microfiber interior.

WebStorage is free for one year. Together with the ASUS WebStorage Office, users can view, create, edit and share Microsoft Office documents online.

The MeMo Pad HD adds a microSD slot and micro USB connector, two things the Nexus 7 does not have.
