FirstNet is making it even easier for the public safety community to access their network with the launch of the FirstNet Dealer Program. Now, select dealers and AT&T* Alliance Channel? solution providers have the ability to sell FirstNet.
This is a first for the AT&T indirect channels. AT&T carefully selected solution providers and dealers with deep knowledge of public safety. This will help get lifesaving technology into the hands of first responders throughout the U.S.
FirstNet is the nationwide public safety communications platform dedicated to America’s first responders. Being built with AT&T, in public-private partnership with the First Responder Network Authority (FirstNet Authority), FirstNet is bringing public safety a much-needed technology upgrade to help them connect to the critical information they need. Every day. And in every emergency.
“FirstNet is public safety’s network. That’s why – from deployable network assets to our new Subscriber Paid offer – FirstNet is all about meeting public safety where they are,” said Chris Sambar, senior vice president, AT&T – FirstNet. “This is another step in their direction. The FirstNet Dealer Program makes it easy for public safety agencies to work with the same solution providers they know and trust to sign up for FirstNet service.”
The FirstNet Dealer Program is one more way AT&T is doubling down on our commitment to public safety and third-party distribution. There are agencies that want to access the power of FirstNet but prefer to buy services through a dealer. So, we crafted the FirstNet Dealer Program with them in mind. We’re doing more to give public safety agencies a choice in how they buy, while maintaining the integrity of the vetting process to ensure only eligible users are granted access to the network.
In coordination with FirstNet Authority, AT&T strictly regulates which indirect sellers can promote, market and co-sell FirstNet. We chose those indirect sellers that focus on mobility solutions for public safety agencies. And we will continue to evaluate additional potential FirstNet dealers.
AT&T also now offers a referral program for AT&T Alliance Channel solution providers who are not certified FirstNet dealers. For details on how to participate, solution providers should contact their channel manger.
