U.S. Cellular now offers the city-centric caller screening servcie  City ID which displays the city and state of incoming calls.

City ID automatically displays the location where an incoming phone number is registered.

City ID, an application from Cequint, features over 20,000 specific cities in the U.S. and Canada, listing towns with as few as 700 people.

"Unless someone is saved into the mobile phone's address book, subscribers only have a number to try and guess who's calling them," said Edward Perez, Sr. Director, Product Development and Management. "City ID gives U.S. Cellular subscribers that additional piece of information that helps identify the incoming caller."

Available starting in first on the LG UX585 and Samsung Delve R800, U.S. Cellular subscribers will receive a complimentary 15-day trial of the application beginning with the first incoming call. Customers can subscribe to City ID for $1.99 per month or a one-time purchase of $34.99, added directly to their bill.
