Meebo an instant messaging
application across IM platforms will be available for T-Mobile's G1 with Google. Meebo for Android provides a simple "on
the go" instant messaging experience for
anyone with a Meebo account, or an account on one of the popular IM
services.

The T-Mobile G1 has received good reviews, but lacks enterprise functionality. It also created a controversy by being sold at Wal-Mart.
The application will be available as a download through the phone via the Android Market ( http://www.android.com/market/).

Instango is a new way of messaging on your mobile phone which they say saves costs. It is now available for BlackBerry It includes:

Starter plans come with 40 free minutes and 10 SMS messages. This is service uses your data connection on a smartphone and is charged in Euros. With the downfall of the US dollar it may not be as cheap as it appears.
