AT&T Inc. announced a new rate of 5 cents a
minute for wireless customers in the United States who call landline
numbers in Mexico with the AT&T World Connect Mexico $3.99 a month plan
Comment from Mobile and Wireless News:
AT&T is not the first wireless company to offer discount rates to Mexico. On a trip to our local mercado in L.A. we found prepaid plans with very cheap rates to landlines in Mexico. CallPlus Wireless prepaid GSM service offers free
long distance within the U.S.A. and to 50+ pre-selected countries for as low as 5 cents a minute. Movida has a 5 cents a minute rate to major cities in Mexico. Tuyo sounds cheap at 2 cents a minute to Mexico but requires the additional 10 cents a minute airtime fee.
