Mobivention, has signed a
distribution agreement with United Media for
PEANUTS. They will make image products such as wallpaper, themes and
Flash Lite wallpapers. Mobivention will also offer MMS Cards and Java
games. The agreement provides mobivention with the distribution rights for the content throughout 9 Central and Eastern European countries - Bosnia & Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Macedonia (FYROM), Poland, Romania, Slovak Republic and Slovenia.
For the first time, PEANUTS will appear on mobile phones in the
mentioned countries. The mobile content features the hilarious
adventures of the entire PEANUTS gang.
They plan to build theme specific sub portals for PEANUTS, which will offer end consumers, mobile network operators and licensors a significant added value.
CellTrust Corporation is offering free FlightAssist, real-time flight monitoring at SFO. The service provides information on flight arrival times and other information to passengers and those traveling to the airport to pick up travelers.
With CellTrust's FlightAssist service, passengers can notify a circle of friends in real-time through text messages on a cell phone if there is a flight delay or cancellation at SFO.
Real-time mobile flight monitoring and airport information management is
expected to streamline the passenger flow to and from the
airport. Flight delays, cancellations, gate changes and flight arrivals
are communicated within seconds to the recipient's mobile phone. Those
picking up passengers will receive notification should there be a change
while the passenger is still on board the airplane. FlightAssist helps
everyone remain one step ahead and takes the guess work, stress and
endless waiting out of flying and picking up at the airport.
CellTrust FlightAssist is also available for a fee for other airports.
The new Facebook application built for Sony Ericsson uses the unique interface of the Xperia X1 to deliver an intuitive version of the site. It puts images of your friends onto your phone's desktop (standby screen) and shows their latest status updates as you touch their images. Touch through to access more Facebook features.
Alltel Perks is a free content service for Alltel customers that is ad-supported. The downloaded app at the Alltel Shop, Alltel Perks delivers content to the phone’s idle screen when the handset is not in use. Customized content includes sports scores, weather, discounts and trivia.
Users will receive content including discount offers from local merchants, coupons for favorite restaurants. Delivered messages are maintained in the “Recent Offer Menu” folder for a short period of time, so customers can easily take advantage of current offers and discounts.
The service delivers offers and content to subscribers when their phone is not in use. As offers download to the handset, users can open the banner to display more content by selecting the “View” hot button as indicated on the phone. If any other button is selected the offer will go away, as to not be intrusive. While airtime charges may apply to the service, the initial download of the Alltel Perks application from the Alltel Shop is free for Alltel customers.
