Sprint Galaxy NexusThe Samsung Galaxy Nexus was promised for other carriers when it was announced, however, Verizon Wireless customers got first dibs on the Android 4.0 powerhouse.  Sprint started advertising its own Galaxy Nexus on CNET.

The ad states, "Introducing Galaxy Nexus, the first 4G LTE phone from Sprint."  The Sprint version will have a more powerful processor  than the Verizon version. The Sprint Nexus has 1.5GHz processor while the top ten best smartphone winner the Verizon Galaxy Nexus has a 1.2GHz processor.  The Galaxy Nexus is the first Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich smartphone.

Samsung Galaxy S(Fascinate, Captivate, Vibrant, Epic 4G & Tab Update to Android 4.0 Off Again?

Over the holidays, there was hope that the Samsung Galaxy S line of smartphones could possibly be get an update to Android 4.00 Ice Cream Sandwich.. Now outlets are reporting there will not be an update to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich for the Samsung Galaxy Tab, Fascinate, Captivate, Vibrant, and Epic 4G. Some are still hoping for at least a few ICS features on these models.

A blog post from Samsung  indicated that the original Samsung Galaxy S line of smartphones and Galaxy Tab tablets would not be updated to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich caused an uproar of complaints. Samsung countered with that  it would investigate other methods to try to make the upgrade work.

Droid 4 caseBefore the Verizon 4G LTE network outages, there were rumors that the 4G LTE-enabled Droid 4 would be out before Christmas. However, the Droid 4 did not see the light of a release date in 2011.  2012 looks like a better year for the Droid 4 according to leaks and end-of life of some of its predecessors.

A demo unit of the Droid 4 was leaked. It looks a lot like a Droid RAZR with a QWERTY keyboard. The Droid 4 also made an appearance in the Best Buy Reward Zone online. Droid 4 accessories are appearing in Verizon stores. The Droid 4 FCC documents were filed in December.
