HTC Aria to Sing Android @ AT&T June 20 - HTC Aria Smartphone with Android 2.1

AT&T will launch the Android 2.1 HTC Aria on June 20 for $130 with a two-year contract and after a $100 mail-in rebate. Although the HTC Sense UI, makes digital social networking easier, the screen is smaller and the processor is slower than the next iPhone 4.

The HTC Aria, runs on Android 2.1 and uses HTC's Sense UI. The device is compatible with AT&T's HSPA 7.2 technology, has a 3.2-inch screen, a 5-megapixel camera, an optical joystick and Wi-Fi. The HTC Aria has a wrap-around soft-touch cover. The HTC Aria runs a 600MHz Qualcomm MSM 7227 processor, proximity sensor, integrated GPS, a digital compass, light sensor, 512MB ROM / 384MB RAM, a microSD card slot (2GB included) and a 1,200mAh battery good for up to six hours of talk.

HTC Aria is Wi-Fi capable and qualifying customers will receive
access to AT&T Wi-Fi, with more than 20,000 hotspots across the U.S.
In addition, HTC Aria is compatible with AT&T's High Speed Packet
Access (HSPA) 7.2 Mbps technology.

"HTC Aria is the first of several smartphones in our Android
portfolio to run the 2.1 platform," said Jeff Bradley, senior vice
president, Devices, AT&T Mobility and Consumer Markets.

Featuring the latest version of HTC Sense, HTC Aria offers even more
ways to stay connected, including Friend Stream.

Of course the HTC Aria comes with full selection Google services.
The services include Google search, Google Maps, Google Navigation,
Gmail, YouTube and more. With Android Market, customers can also choose
from more than 50,000 applications to further personalize the mobile
experience. It is called ultra-small at just over 4 inches long and
weighing a mere 4.05 ounces,.
