It has been a great week for Verizon wireless 4G LTE smartphone upgrades to Android 2.3 Gingerbread. The new update for the HTC ThunderBolt started rolling out last week and now it appears the LG Revolution is getting the Android makeover with some glitch fixes. The update is Version: VS910. Generally updates are sent out in small lots first and then expand to larger coverage, over time.
The list of features in the Android 2.3 Gingerbread update are impressive, with the addition of download manager, active app management, shortcuts, one-touch copy/paste, widgets, icons, app groups, updated calendar options, camera geotagging, improved email synching, and camera auto-focus improvements. Glitch fixes include updates to the email folder, Exchange attachments, SIM message storage, "Out-of-Office" settings, better shaped cursor, list menu issue, HDMI cable, and data in Airplane mode
