HTC First Goes Way of HTC ChaCha - Status--Bye Bye

Facebook phones have not done well.  The HTC ChaCha that became the HTC Status QWERTY was discontinued by AT&T back in August 2011, designed for tweens it lasted only a few months on the market.

The HTC First, on the other hand lastest only a month.  The mid-level Android smartphone sold-out  after a 99-cent fire sale.

Th HTC First will loaded with HTC Home that takes over the OS to be more like Facebook.

HTC One mini-mized and Phablet-sized

The HTC One may be changing sizes in smaller(4.3") and more phablet 5.9" sizes in the future.

According to some sources HTC is working on a phablet with a 5.9" 1080p touchscreen and a 2.3GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor. The phablet with the codename T6, which may have 2GB of RAM, 16GB of storage and microSD card slot.

G S 4 (Galaxy S 4) vs HTC One AT&T LTE Speed Test

It's a mystery to some why LTE data speeds vary greatly at different times and locations, however, our testing shows great LTE  data speeds with Samsung Galaxy S 4 and HTC One.

Previously, the champion was the LG Optimus Pro G, which we think is faster due to the lower overhead software. The HTC One we are testing has BlinkFeed running.

HTC One Verizoned- AWS? End of Droid Family Line?

Today via Twitter, Verizon Wireless announced that the HTC  One will be coming from Verizon Wireless.

The delay may be to having the HTC One possibly use the AWS spectrum.  Verizon is late on releases when it launches new networks and has to test devices.

The Samsung Galaxy S 4 was released later than other carriers, which may have been due the fact that it can use AWS spectrum once the software is updated.

The #HTCOne comes in a new flavor: Vanilla,” HTC Tweeted. Following a the tredn of offering pure Google Android versions of popular smartphones HTC will ofers the HTC One for $599 on June 26 from the Google Play Store.

The HTC One vanilla will work with AT&T and T-Mobile networks. Android Chrome OS Cheif Sundar Pichai announced during his appearnace at D11. Nexus devices are not dead, it will continue, he said.
