The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is coming out this week along with the Galaxy Gear smartwatch. Here are all the release dates starting tomorrow with T-Mobile along with the companion Samsung Galaxy Gear.
A commercial is airing on YouTube showing notifications on the Gear, maps and design features. The marionettes are shown and edited on a a Galaxy Note 3 screen.
All devices are due out during the month of October:
- The T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Note is due out tomorrow on October 2 for $199 upfront with 24 payments of $21.
- The AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is due out in stores October 4, preorders may be arriving a day earlier. It costs $299 with a two-year contract, $549 with a one year contract or 20 $35 monthly payment totally $724.99 with the AT&T Next early upgrade plan.
- The Sprint Samsung Galaxy Note 3 will be available on Friday, October 4 with a $100 discount for those who switch carriers. It is priced at $349.99
- The Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note 3 has been on preorder and will now ship by 10/10 which may be the store release date. Verizon has not announced the actual in-store release date, yet. It is priced at $299 with a contract. Many lucky grandfathered unlimited plan holders found a loophole over the weekend and were able to nab the Note 3 at the subsidized rate.
The Galaxy Gear offers real time updates for quick ,notifications, hands-free calling, music control, S Voice access Smart Relay, Smart Lock and Find My Device. The companion device sells for $299.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 has a fast 2.3GHz quad-core processor, 5.7" Super AMOLED touchscreen, front camera, Bluetooth, 3,200 mAh battery and Android 4.3
The 13MP camera has image stabilization, LED flash, Eraser Shot (removes unwanted people and backgrounds and Drama Shot for time lapse.
The S Pen allows for Air Command, Actions Memo, Screen Write, Scrapbook, S Finder and Pen Window. The pen lets you write things that turn into text, take notes, edit, organize and chart.
Special Samsung features include Easy Mode, Air View, WatchOn(TV remote and program guide) and S Bean to transfer files.
It has been reported that versions of the Galaxy Note 3 in the U.S. are locked to their carriers. If you want to travel overseas you may have to content your carrier to unlock it.
Fandango announced that it will provide movie show times, ticketing, movie trailers and its original movie preview show “Weekend Ticket” for the new Samsung GALAXY devices including the Note 3.
