Prepaid Mobile Broadband News: VZW 2 Offer 5 GB for $80 .mo

VerizonMobileBroadband2.JPGAs competition heats up in the prepaid market, Verizon will launch a 5 GB for $80 per month, mobile broadband offering, according to a new report from Current Analysis. Virgin Mobile is offering a cheaper unlimited plan for $40 a month.

The new Verizon prepaid mobile broadband plan remains in affect for to 30 days from the time of purchase and is compatible with some netbooks as well as data cards.

Verizon Wireless is testing an unlimited talking, texting and data plan for $99 per month in Los Angeles and San Diego.

Verizon Wireless started offering prepaid data access with daily ($15
for 75 MB, 20 cents per additional MB), weekly (30 for 250 MB. 12 cents
per additional MB) and monthly ($50 for 500 MB. 10 cents / additional
MB) plans.

prepaid monthly unlimited plan in the Southeast, and unlimited any
mobile plans in Texas and Louisiana.
