AT&T Pays Apple $325 to $425 per iPhone 3G

According to several reports AT&T will pay a subsidy of $325 for the new Apple iPhone 3G, according to Oppenheimer analyst Yair Reiner. He says the usual subsidy is about $200. The new iPhone 3G is priced at $199 for 8 GB of memory, or $299 for 16 GB.

Reiner also says that AT&T will pay Apple an extra $100 for subscribers who place contracts at Apple stores, making the  total commission of $425.
