MobiTV, Inc. and Media Excel, a leader in advanced real-time video encoding
and transcoding solutions, announced an agreement
to jointly offer advanced video delivery capabilities to service providers.
The combined solutions will enable service providers to leverage proven best-of-breed
technologies and expertise for the development of next-generation high availability,
high capacity video services over mobile and broadband networks.
MobiTV's Optimized Delivery Server (ODS) for scalable high capacity
video delivery, combined with Media Excel's industry-leading video
encoding and transcoding appliances, will provide an efficient, reliable
and high quality IP video solution. This will enable service providers to
offer premium video services to their subscribers over 3G, 4G, and broadband
networks.
