Verizon LG Revolution Developer & FCC Specs Reveal FM Radio & More

LGRevolution.JPGWireless and Mobile News has been able to dig up a few more specs for the forthcoming LG Revolution from Verizon Wireless.  Developers get access to all kinds of information before the general public does.  Our developer friend was cruising the Verizon VCAST apps developer center, where they have posted all the specs for the 4G LTE LG Revolution.  We also scanned the FCC filings to find one more features.  New features found include an FM radio and voice commands from Nuance.

The LG Revolution was announced at CES and is a 4G LTE smartphone that has the honor of being the first smartphone used for a VoLTE (Voice over LTE) call.  With VoLTE,
users can talk on the phone while using the data network for web surfing, or anything else, at the same time.
We already knew that the LG Revolution has a 4.3-inch touchscreen, 1GHz Snapdragon
processor, DLNA, HDMI, DivX compatibility, Bluetooth 2.1, Wi-Fi, 3G and
4G/LTE mobile hotspot
capabilities, and a
microSD card slot.  Other features of the LG Revolution include recording/playing 1080p HD video and a rear-facing, 5-megapixel camera and front-facing camera for video conferencing.

Scanning the developer specs, we saw that the LG Revolution
has an MSM8655 + L2000 processor with graphic enhancements, 16GB of onboard
storage, 16GB microSD card installed, 1500mAh battery, a flash for the
camera, voice commands from Nuance, voice dialing and voice dictation, and the front-facing camera is
described as for "video telephony."

The LG Revolution received FCC approval on March 8 of this year, and the documents revealed that it also has an FM radio.

We have a call out to Qualcomm to find out the speed of the MSM8655.

The biggest mystery surrounding the LG Revolution, like all Verizon 4G LTE smartphones, is the release date of second quarter being the most recent estimate.
