  • Bill Shock Clocked: CTIA announced the "Wireless Consumer Usage Notification Guidelines" - will provide free alerts both before and after subscribers they reach monthly limits on voice, data and text. In addition, the plan includes a notification to inform consumers of international roaming charges when traveling abroad. Subscribers will be covered by this plan unless they opt-out.
  • Appple today announced it has sold over four million of its new iPhone 4S, just three days after its launch on October 14. More than 25 million customers are already using iOS 5.
  • Sprint iPhone 4S owners are reporting that data speeds are very slow during peak hours.
  • AT&T today joins the National Organizations for Youth Safety (NOYS) in D.C. to kickoff the 2011 National Teen Distracted Driving Summit – a youth-led, anti-texting-while-driving event geared toward teens – who, on average, text five times more text messages a day than a typical adult(2).
