Motorola UpdatesMotorola has updated its Android software update page.  After excluding the Motorola Atrix 4G, earlier this year, they have updated some details of the planned Android updates for the end of this year and beyond.

The first good news is that the Motorla Atrix HD rollout to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean will begin in December of this year. Popular Verizon Wireless models to that will be upgraded to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean will be the Droid RAZR, Droid RAZR/MAXX, Droid 4 and Droid Bionic. Some of these models appear in the best smartphones of 2012 Review of Reviews from WiMo News.

There is also good news for Motorola Xoom (3G/LTE) tablet owners there will be update in the first quarter of 2013.

Motorola Xoom Android 4.1 Jelly Bean Update Out 4 Wi-Fi without Flash with Gitches

Motorola is pushing out an update to Android 4.1.1 (JRO03H) Jelly Bean which has been reported to be overall faster and easier to read.  There is on major feature that is lost and that is the ability to view Flash on the web, which Adobe does not support.

You can receive the update over a Wi-Fi connection. If you are not connected via Wi-Fi, or your Motorola Xoom is off when the notification arrives, you will see the notification when you next connect to a Wi-Fi network.

Motorola Anti Ban Plans for Droid 2, Pro, X, X2, Flipout, Atrix & Xoom - No Xoom Ban in Germany

The United States International Trade Commission(ITC), ban on Motorola devices goes into effect on Wednesday brought on Microsoft. In Germany, a German court denied a  ban of the Motorola Xoom by Apple.

AP reported the Düsseldorf court dismissed Apple's request for a ban on the Motorola Xoom in Germany.

Meanwhile , the smartphones and tablets involved in the ITC ban are Atrix, Backflip, Bravo, Charm, Cliq, Cliq 2, Cliq XT, Defy, Devour, Droid 2, Droid 2 Global, Droid Pro, Droid X, Droid X2, Flipout, Flipside, Spice, and the Xoom tablet.

Motorola Xoom Android 4.04 ICS Update Release 2Day

Motorola Xoom owners will have renewed faith in Motorola for updating the 3G/4G LTE Motorola Xoom tablet To Android 4.0 ICS which is due out today, June 4 according to a Verizon spokesman Albert Aydin.

When the Motorola Xoom was first released it had higher-end features than the iPad available at the time, it took a while for it to be updated to Verizon 4G LTE network but it did happen.  On Black Friday, Verizon Wireless sold these high-end tab dual-core tablets for a mere $199.99 and we predicted that Motorola after being bought by Google would update the tablet.  Motorola has come through even though it was at a much slower pace than promised.

Motorola has updated its Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update resource page expected time frame and what will not be updated.

Some devices that were previously under consideration such as the Droid X2 will not be updated to ICS.

All the previously announced products from Verizon Wireless remain on the list with some showing a Q2 release which means we will hopefully see those updates before the end of June.
