PC World has published their latest test of 3G speed for all the major carriers including AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, and Verizon.

It looks like AT&T's improvement to its network has worked.  AT&T's average download speed was 1410 kbps, followed by Sprint at 795 kbps average, T-Moible at 868 kps average, and Verizon at 877 kbps average.

PC World tested speeds in 13 cities. At each testing location, PC World and Novarum connected to the 3G network via both laptops and smartphones.  We are disappointed that our home location Los Angeles was not included in the tests while San Francisco was.  Los Angeles is unique challenge because of its spread-out size.
AT&T had the lowest speeds in their last test last spring and now leads the pack. IPhone test speeds were faster than other smartphones, followed by the Verizon's Droid by Motorola. Read PC World Article.

I love my Droid. There isn’t a better phone available. There is so much that you can do with it. The quality of the photos are amazing too! My only complaint is that the phone batteries on the Droid don’t last very long. It seems like I am charging it up every day.
