Tomorrow (May14) you can pre-order the
HTC EVO 4G from Sprint at
RadioShack stores.
HTC EVO 4G may be
pre-ordered by buying a $50 RadioShack
gift card, which will be applied toward the purchase and then scheduling an appointment to pick up and activate the smarthone.
HTC EVO 4G will arrive in stores starting June 4.
HTC EVO 4G users will have fast downloads on 4G networks where available, as well a 4.3-inch touch screen, 8.0-megapixel camera with HD video capture and mobile hotspots ($29.99 a month.)
HTC EVO 4G will have Android 2.1, a 1-GHz Qualcomm
Snapdragon processor, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooh, visual
voicemail and an FM radio tuner.
Some RadioShack stores will feature
"HTC EVO 4G experience centers," demos with which specially trained
experts show features on a live HTC EVO 4G smartphone.
The HTC EVO 4G was officially
announced last night in New York at a screening of the Prince
of Persia.
HTC EVO 4G allows for simultaneous voice and data connections
Video calls can be made via Qik over its EV-DO and WiMAX networks. 4G
will be growing over the next years and reach one billion by 2012.
