No Mo' Pre-Orders of Samsung Epic 4G Sold-Out from Sprint - How 2 Get Epic 4G

SamsungEpicPRe-order.jpgThis has been a sell-out summer with a shortage of AMOLED displays and super Android smartphones. The HTC EVO 4G, Droid Incredible and Droid X all sold-out with in days of their launches. Today, Sprint closed its doors for pre-ordering the Super AMOLED, top-rated Samsung Epic 4G.

Visitors to the Sprint webpages get this notice:

Sorry, we're no longer taking reservations
to the Samsung Epic 4G ReserveNow program has been great; so much so
that all of the phones we set aside have been spoken for.

We're stocking up so that you'll be able to get yours at a Sprint store or online starting August 31st.

It's sell-out dejavu all over again.  So how can you get a Samsung Epic 4G
when it comes out August 31?  First you can check online retailers.
The good news is that as of this writing you can still
reserve/pre-order one at a slightly lower price at Wirefly with no Activation Fee.

The Samsung Epic 4G features a 1GHz Cortex A8 Hummingbird with
3-D graphics,  5 MP camera/camcorder with autofocus, power LED flash,
front-facing VGA camera , Mobile Hotspot capability Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth. 16 GB microSD  and
1500 mAh removable battery.

When Wirefly runs out of Samsung Epic 4G reservations the next steps are our tried-and-true methods for getting a sell-out smartphone.

So what can you do? First off, call your local Spirnt and RadioShack stores, they know more
of what's going on. Ask your rep when they expect a delivery and at what time time the store opens.
You can often be put on a waiting list or in the RadioShack case, you
give a $50 deposit which is a gift card than can be used towards the
purchase of the Samsung Epic 4G.

For the HTC EVO 4G RadioShack stores made reservations for times to pickup orders and doing the same for this release.

In the meantime you can get your data ready for Android.  Although there are some slight differences, we suggest you read Top Ten Best Things 2Do While Waiting for Your HTC EVO 4G or Droid Incredible with tips on how to get your data, email and friend ready for the transition.
