CTIA Announces E-Tech Award Winners: Motorola Atrix, LG Thrill , HTC ThunderBolt Top Smartphones & Motorola Xoom Top Tablet

Everyone was wondering what that unnamed embargoed LG smartphone was among the E-Tech Award nominees.  Now we know the just announced LG Thrill because it won second place in the smartphone category.

The HTC ThunderBolt did not win but came in third to the Motorola Atrix, with all its super-docking accessories.

Do you remember when we thought Viewdle was really interesting?  It won best mobile app.

The winners were just announced on stage at CTIA Wireless in Orlando, Florida.  The winners are listed in each category:


  • First: Motorola ATRIX 4G - a powerful Android smartphone that acts like a computer, the Motorola ATRIX 4G delivers both
    the power and performance of mobile computing, all while fitting
    comfortably in the user's pocket (read review).
  • Second: LG Thrill  4G - a 3D dual-core Android smartphone with a 4G name for the AT&T network with ability to shoot 3D video.  It is the AT&T version of the LG Optimus 3D.
  • Third: HTC ThunderBolt - currently the fastest data smartphone on the Verizon Network with great reviews and features.

The smartphones are familiar because they appeared previously in our top best Android smartphones now an' later.
