Nexus 7 TapeThere's a lot of news surrounding the popular Google Nexus Table including new stock available, apps that don't work, new video tips/trick and the latest deals we could find.

The Nexus 7 tablet after being sold-out is now back in stock at the Google Play store,  with shipping in 3-5 days.  Google is also promoting the tablet by sending emails to Google Play subscribers.

The competition is heating up in the 7" tablet market Barnes and Noble cut the prices of its Nook tablet by as much as 20%.

There are still some quirky problems reported from Nexus 7 owners. One owner claims it turns itself off over night while charging.  Another forum member  reported two returns before getting a Nexus 7 that worked correctly.

Nexus 7 DadThe Nexus 7 tablet is in the nexus of news, marketing and maybe controversy. There are two new how-to videos with tips for beginners as well as a new not-perfectly real Nexus 7 commercial.

The new commercial is airing for the Nexus 7 which may be considered misleading either that or there is a very good Wi-Fi connection.

A father is shown camping with his son in a wooded area.  Daddy loves his  Nexus 7, he shows dinosaur videos to his son, they roast wieners, read the Little Prince book, use the compass,  use it as flash light, watch a Dr. Suess movie and view a satellite map of what appears to be their home.

Most of the the apps and videos could have been downloaded earlier. The commercial, however, makes things look much easier than they are. It also fudges reality a bit. We've found these bogus tricks:

Buy Nexus & DealEven though the Nexus 7 has some quality issues it is a success in the selling department with a gray market on eBay with some models priced for as much as $100 over MSRP.

The 8GB Nexus 7 was reportedly sold out from the Google Play store in the U.K. Meanwhile, online, Walmart iconhas the 16B model in stock for 249.99 with options to of ship to store or 97 cent shipping BUY which should include the $25 Play store credit. Office Depot shows the 8GB as "Coming Soon" and 16GB as "Temporarily out of stock, check back soon."
