Droid Incredible 4G LTE vs Samsung Galaxy S3

Verizon Wireless is busy rolling out  4G LTE markets some are recently live while others may or may not be live in time for the Droid Incredible 4G LTE or Samsung Galaxy S III.

The following 4G LTE metros went live recently and will surely be ready for the Droid Incredible 4G LTE or Samsung Galaxy S III when they are released:

  • Florida - Panama City, Palm Beach, Alachua, Volusia and Flager counties.
  • Idaho/Eastern Oregon  - along Snake River from the Nyssa Valley to the Weiser Valley, including Ontario and Payette, Blackfoot from the Fort Hall Indian Reservation north to Shelley, near the Bingham County line.
  • Texas (Central)\ Rio Grande Valley, Brownsville, McAllen, Marshall, Longview, Tyler, Big Spring, Paris, Temple/Killeen New Braunfels, Midland, Waco, San Angelo.
  • Mass - Billerica, enhanced coverage in Southeastern Mass, Weston.
  • Connecticut - Windsor Locks.
  • New Hampshire - Hollis.

We're starting to reach the lines of demarcation for the release of the Samsung Galaxy S III and Droid incredible 4G LTE by June 21.

Double Data EndsVerizon Wireless will end its double 4G LTE data deal on June 5 before the releases of the Droid incredible 4G LTE, Samsung Galaxy S III and Droid Fighter.  The news was released through a Wirefly banner ad telling buyers to hurry because the deal will end.

The double 4G LTE data deal is $30 for 4GB, $50 for 10GB and $80 for 20GB. Following the end it will apparently be half the data for the same prices until the next round of data plan changes at Verizon Wireless.

Grandfathered Unlimited Data Ending in Summer 4 Verizon 4G LTE

Verzion Shared DataUh-oh, Verizon Wireless is planning on ending its grandfathering of LTE unlimited data plans for the summer.  The way they're going to get you is that when you upgrade to 4G LTE, you will lose your unlimited data but the up-sell will be that you can share all your LTE data  as our family.

The last time we contacted a Verizon spokesperson last summer we were told that unlimited smartphone data plans would be grandfathered with 4G LTE upgrades until further notice.  It looks like further notice is going to happen this summer.

MetroPCS palnsMetroPCS has joined the high-price data train for LTE data plans, increasing prices and throttling lower priced 4G LTE data plans. Contrary to headlines the unlimited data plans have not be axed or wiped out,  just repriced and changed for 4G LTE.

MetroPCS added an extra $1o the monthly fee for unlimited 4G LTE data plan making  it $70 a month which includes unlimited texting, data, email and either MetroStudio video or Rhapsody unlimited music.

Yesterday, was not good day for Verizon subscribers in Alabama and the Philadelphia Tri-State area there were outages. However, today, there are new markets launching with 4G LTE Verizon Wireless service as well as expansion of 4G LTE services.
