Best Smartphones 2012 Review of Review ReviewsWiMo News is continuing its round-up of distilling the review sources for the year of 2012. Our ginormous database is crunching out numbers with the help of human formulas that reveals some trends and surprises.  So far Consumer Reports gave higher ranking to LG and Motorola, there were few if any keyboarded winners and sales figures from Canaccord Genuity do not reflect the reviews.  Today we look at Digital Trends that really likes Windows Phones.

Our data includes all the smartphones throughout the year.  We prorated their figures to be in similar context as other technical reviews. These figures are entered into the master file and will be incorporated into final results.

Digital Trends  passed over the recently released Sony Xperia TL, other choices were similar to other tech media outlets.  Like last year, DT rated Windows Phones highly with the HTC 8X one of its best rated devices. Smartphone makers that achieved the top scores were HTC with highest scores followed by Samsung, Motorola, Apple, LG and Nokia.

Kindle Fire, Samsung Galaxy S II, Nexus and Droid RAZR Tops Best Lists @ Amazon

Best of 2011 AmazonThe best-selling, most wished for, most gifted, and most loved tablet and smartphones at Amazon were revealed in its top best of 2011 lists.  The Amazon lists mirrors trends and top smartphones found by Wireless and Mobile News for Verizon Wireless, AT&T,  T-Mobile and Sprint. 

The best-seller with the most sold at Amazon Wireless was the Samsung Galaxy S II.  The Samsung Galaxy S II tops all the best lists for 2011 for every carrier, except Verizon Wireless where the Samsung Galaxy Nexus is competing with the Droid RAZR.

Top Ten Best Smartphones SprintThis has been a very exciting year for smartphones, there are more choices with greater options than ever before.   We've started rounding up all the top smartphones this year which will culminate in our very own "Wireless and Mobile News' Top Ten Best Hottest Coolest Smartphones of 2011."  Today, we looked at PCWorld's top ten picks for the best available smartphones as of December 1, 2011.

What we find most interesting as when we collect our review of reviews' is that smartphone reviews are always a bit subjective.  PC World's choices are slighty different from CNET's Best Top Ten Smartphones of 2011, as well asd Consumer Reports choices for Verizon Wireless, T-Mobile, AT&T and Sprint.

There are some unexpected contenders we haven't seen in other top picks along with the usual suspects including the iPhone 4s and Samsung Galaxy SII.  This is first list where we have seen Windows Phones. We've listed the PCWorld top ten, along with their rating, the best price we could find and a summary of the Wireless and Mobile News Review of Reviews with links.
