    .24 cents a minute is 2 1/2 times more than ATT go-phnoe

  2. I wonder why AARP has never pursued any relationships with companies like Jitterbug. The Jitterbug phone is totally targeted to seniors and has all the features that seniors need. Also, Jitterbug does not require long term contracts which seems to be a real hot button for seniors.

AARP recently posted an article on their website about senior phones and the least expensive, easiest phone for seniors. I couldn’t find the link, but did find the study that they quote here: http://www.ageadvocacy.org/price-war-comes-to-cell-phones-for-seniors-older-americans-now-can-connect-for-as-little-as-7-a-month/

The tracefone svc is only $20 to buy with 3 mos of service for $20. That’s ideal for seniors with fixed budgets!

I personally like TraacFone SVC. It’s so affordable as an emergency phone for someone like me who has a very minimal need – $7/month is a great deal. At this rate, no discount is actually needed. Plus the keys are easy to see and the phone is as bacic as they come….truly designed with seniors in mind :)
