BlackBerryz30BlackBerry is going through many changes, settling, working on BBM and looking out for the right partnership to buy it.

Kik Interactive founded by a former co-op student at BlackBerry has reached a settlement with BlackBerry over BlackBerry Messenger  and the case has been dismissed.

BlackBerry Messenger for iOS and Android is reportedly back in beta testing again, via leaked software. Previously, BlackBerrry had to cancel the roll-out of BBM for iOS and Android after a leaked version of it caused technical problems.

Rogers Canada, announced that it will sell the BlackBerry Z30 via its website after a backlash from customers.  The Z30 will be stocked in Canada by Bell, Telus, Best Buy and Future Shop.

Mike Lazaridis and Douglas Fregin co-founders of BlackBerry who own 8% of the company are considering buying BlackBerry  according a securities filing.  They are considering other options than Fairfax Financial Holdings Ltd. BlackBerry declined to comment and reported it is conducting a robust review of alternatives.

Lazaridis signed a confidentiality agreement with BlackBerry on Monday. If the buyout is successful, Lazaridis would become chairman, and Fregin would appoint a director. Lazaridis and Fregin hired Goldman Sachs and Centerview Partners LLC for help. They founded Research in Motion in 1984.

It has also been reported that BlackBerry may split up the company when sold.

In the meantime, BlackBerry still has a strong installed base in the enterprise market.
