The Nexus 7 16GB Second Generation or 2013 7" tablet gets the fastest updates to Android for any tablet. It is pure Android and good deal when it goes below $200.
CNET named the Nexus 7 (2103) the best Android tablet for its sharp full HD screen, fast performance, lightweight, and great value at $229.99. The only down fall is that it lacks a microSD expansion slot. At .66 lbs its slightly lighter than the iPad mini.
The Nexus 7 has a 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro system on chip with a quad-core Krait CPU and a single-core Adreno 320 GPU, 2GB of RAM and 802.11 a/b/g/n (2.4GHz and 5GHz) Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 (including Bluetooth Smart support), and a GPS. It also has a gyroscope, accelerometer, and a digital compass.
As we noted before this year, there have been more discounts on new model smartphones and tablets than we expected.
