Sprint has sprinted to the update process for the Samsung Galaxy S III faster than any another other U.S. carrier and will start pushing out the update for Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean later today. This update will seem like it just drops into to Samsung Galaxy S III, however we'd like to remind to try not to drop your S3 on the ground or into the pool (see what happens).
Typically over-the-air (OTA) updates start slowly at first and then are sent out in bigger numbers over time, especially over the weekend. When your Samsung is eligible for the update, it will download automatically.
It is always a good idea to backup your data before any update and make sure your battery is at least 50% charged. Installation will take a few minutes. you will not be able to make calls during the update process .
Besides adding well-known Jelly Bean features, the update will also include a faster TouchWiz experience. New features include camera filters, low-light photo mode, an easy mode, call blocking, SWYPE keyboard, low light photo mode, video pause/resume and Pop Up Play sizing/resume.
Easy Mode is a simplified option for first-time smartphone owners, with large home screen widgets that focus on the device essentials.
Saumusng has also added AllShare technology into ESPN's popular ScoreCenter application that also works with Samsung Smart TVs.
